A little story for you about my writer’s process. I have a ton of books going on at a time. Lot and lots of writing is always happening. Not only that, but I’ve committed myself to writing even more than usual, which means more books, right? Not quite. Here’s a look at what I’ve got going on right now:
Death’s Assassin (Death’s Queen #4)
At the the proofreader’s
Super Secret Fantasy Book #1
Waiting to go to the copy editor’s
Super Secret Fantasy Book #2
Shadow of Things to Come
Light of Things that Were
Unnamed YA Fantasy
In need of beta reading
Six books in progress. Six! That’s so many, and doesn’t even count some of the half finished manuscripts I’d like to get publish one day. Here’s the thing, I have time to finish these all, but what I don’t have are the funds to. Publishing a book is expensive. There’s editing, beta reading, proofreading, cover art, promotion, and more that gobbles up all my earnings. Why am I telling you this? Good question!
I want to give you all the books. I want to share my work with you, and maybe pay a bill or two along the way. You can help do that PLUS get extra content along the way. You want all my books, an inside look at what I’m doing, a chance to live stream with me, have your questions answered, and more. Guess what? You can all by going here and picking a level.
If you work with me on this, I would be forever grateful! If you have any questions or things you’d like to see more of, please let me know. I love interacting with you and getting your input on things.
A queen without the hope of her country is no queen at all. Knowing this, Ryn undertakes the challenge of regaining the trust and favor of her people, though her chance to do so is slipping through her fingers. To make matters worse, Ranen may be dead, but Daros is actively hunting her, distracting her from her royal duties. With her concentration already split between revenge and duty, she isn’t sure she can handle the new obstacle thrown into her path—a couple who claim to be her long-lost parents.
Despite the turbulent circumstances, Ryn decides to open her arms to her newfound family, but trusting them won’t come easy. As the fight for her country continues, Ryn vows to protect the parents she never thought she’d have. But Ryn’s subjects are restless and she’ll have to find a way to appease them while juggling her new family life… or risk losing it all.

I can’t believe release time is here for Death’s Queen. I’m thrilled to be able to share it with you! My nameless assassin is ready to kick some butt! The whole process with this book has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
An assassin without a name, born to kill. Owned by a vicious man who refuses to call her anything but girl, she is forced to commit atrocious acts of violence. Vowing to take her future into her own hands, the seventeen-year-old decides to risk everything on one act of defiance—drinking from The Death Drink. The beverage kills most whose lips touch it—only allowing those who are destined to be royalty survive the first sip.
Powerful. Revered. Hunted.
To the astonishment of the nation of Valcora, she imbibes it and lives, which crowns her queen. Thrown into a life of royal intrigue, she now has a purpose—to rule with the fairness she was never shown. Despite her altruistic plans, it becomes apparent that someone wants her dead. The new queen must use her training from the former life she only wants to forget in order to stay alive long enough to turn her kingdom into something she can be proud of. She’ll hold onto the crown… or die trying.
Hated that cliffhanger ending from Bound by Birthright? No worries! The sequel, Bound to Endure, is now available for purchase! Part of a five star review from Chelsie on Bound to Endure says, “I would really recommend this series. The second book was even better than the first. I cant wait to read the final book in the trilogy which is coming out July 18th.”
After narrowly escaping marauding pirates, Arabella has returned to safety and is ready to go through with her arranged marriage.
The human Prince Phillip isn’t who she wants to wed, but he was chosen by her parents to unite the elven and human realms. Arabella has fought her way through too many death threats and attacks to give up on this important goal, although the pirate Captain Smythe remains set on keeping the two countries enemies.
With the odds and her own heart against her, Arabella must overcome forces beyond her control if she’s to forge peace between the kingdoms.
I’m now accepting requests for BOUND BY BIRTHRIGHT ARCs. If you fill out the form, I will get the book to you as soon as possible. After that, I will email you the beginning of June to remind you to post your review. Please let me know if you have any questions.
In honor of the up coming anniversary of publishing You Are Mine, I am giving away the entire signed paperback series. All you have to do is ask a question, any question about books, the Mine series, Darkening Light series, or writing in general, and you’ll be entered to win. Best of luck to you!
Can I just tell you how excite I am about this book? I’m over the moon about it. I can’t wait until its release June 6th! Not much longer until you guys can read Arabella’s story! But I know that’s not what you’re hear for today. Without further ado, here is the cover for Bound by Birthright:
Elven princess Arabella is set to marry the human Prince Phillip but her countrymen do not hesitate to express their anger with her parents’ attempt to improve relations with the humans. With death threats plaguing her, Arabella is forced into hiding.
When her sanctuary is usurped by pirates, Arabella goes on the run with humans who vow to help and keep her safe. She finds herself drawn to one of the humans, the dashing Robert, who steals her heart.
Arabella would like nothing more than time to get to know Robert better, but with pirates attacking and her wedding date approaching, time is one thing she doesn’t have. Arabella’s on a flight for her life and must reconcile with the truth—she can never be with the one she wants.
As the last book of the Mine series is published, I find myself both excited and a little sad. It’s exciting to finally be able to share the entire story with you, but it’s also sad to leave the characters behind. I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as I have. And don’t worry, there will be more books in other series to come! But for now, here is Sacrifice of Mine, Bethany’s story.
It’s time for the cover reveal of Sacrifice of Mine. This one is by far my favorite cover. There’s a lot of fun backstory to it. You see, I wanted a tarnished on the cover, but it’s impossible to find a stock photo of someone that’s tarnished. It just isn’t out there. That means for this cover, I got a personalized photo shoot done by the amazing Teresa Yeh. Her work is incredible and it was an honor to be able to work with her.
The first thing that we did was find a model. I looked through several models pictures, but the moment I saw Alessandra’s, I knew she would make the perfect model. Here’s a picture of her that really caught my attention:
It’s her eyes that really captured me. But if you’ll remember right, tarnished are bald. Look at the amount of gorgeous hair Alessandra has. So much! Not only would they have to use a bald wig on her, but it would take a lot of time, water, gel, and other such things to tame her hair down enough to get it to look good under her bald wig.
The process ended up taking four and a half hours to transform her from this girl with wonderful hair to a bald tarnished. You can follow the process here and herein time laps photograph. It’s really a neat process to watch. Plus, if you’ll notice, at one point she’s reading a book. That makes her extra cool in my mind. And the credits for the picture and time lapse are:
