One of the things I love most about being a self-published author is the many different hats I get to wear. During the last year, I’ve learned a ton about marketing, formatting, cover design, and countless other things an author does to succeed. But, things are starting to get a little crazy. I realized that I could use an assistant. But I don’t just want an assistant, I’d love to help someone who is interested in learning more about the world of publishing and how it all works. So, I’m looking for someone who would like to make a partnership.
This would be a great position for either a writer wanting to learn more about self-publishing and everything that goes along with it, a book lover interested in acquiring the skills needed to be start an author’s assistant company, or a reader looking for a way to interact with an author while learning more about what goes on behind the scenes.
Tasks and Duties:
Assisting with Promotions
Managing a calendar
Bouncing book ideas and possibly being a beta reader
Keeping me from going insane. Okay, fine, this isn’t possible but we can at least have some fun keeping the crazies at bay

The experience of working one-on-one with a best selling author, including being able to ask me whatever you want and get feedback.
If you’re a writer, I’d be willing to beta read for you as well. *Note, if you are interested in this, I would like to see a sample of your writing.
Books, Swag, and if you live in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, occasional in-person meetings at a yummy restaurant.
This is a non-paid position.

EDITED TO ADD: I’ve had a few questions/concerns I want to clarify. This is open internationally, but you must be fluent in English. Also, don’t worry too much about the writing sample. No pressure on it, I just want to know what I’ll be working with if you want to go this route.

Curses, this sounds like so much fun! I just don’t know if I could do it with school and little brothers. 😦 Oh well. Good luck finding a worthy assistant! 🙂
School and little brothers would be a busy combo! Thank you though, and good luck with your stuff!
This sounds super fun, but there just isn’t enough time in a day for me… I already work about 45 hours a week ;_; I hope you find someone though 🙂
Wow, 45 hours a week is crazy. Thank goodness for book vacations! I hope you manage some time for those!
